Kilowott Joins Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bengaluru Delegation to Strengthen Norway–India Ties

The Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) Business Delegation to India 2025 concluded a highly engaging program in Bengaluru, offering Norwegian businesses and delegates a unique opportunity to explore India’s thriving technology and innovation ecosystem. The delegation provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, strategic networking, and first-hand insights into India’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Curated around the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, the program emphasized Norway as the focus country. Delegates participated in a series of structured activities, including curated introductions to India’s leading innovation hubs, exclusive one-on-one and group meetings, industry site visits, and networking sessions designed to connect Norwegian participants with key stakeholders from government, industry, and academia.

A standout moment of the delegation was the meeting with Mr. Jan Christian Vestre, Norway’s Minister of Health and Care Services and former Minister of Trade and Industry, widely recognized as the architect of the historic India-EFTA TEPA Agreement. Delegates discussed opportunities for bilateral trade and innovation collaboration, with Mr. Vestre’s remark, “Norway–India trade is a match made in heaven,” leaving a lasting impression throughout the event.

Delegates also attended a distinguished reception hosted by Ms. May-Elin Stener, Norwegian Ambassador to India, which convened government representatives, business leaders, and innovation experts. The event facilitated discussions on collaborative opportunities, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of long-term Norway–India business relationships.

Another key highlight was the industry visit to OLA, where delegates gained firsthand insights into India’s mobility and innovation ecosystem. The visit showcased cutting-edge technology solutions, operational strategies, and the dynamic start-up culture driving India’s tech sector.

The program also featured the launch of the NICCI-Ideas to Impact “go-to-market” initiative for Norwegian startups, providing a structured platform for connecting Norwegian innovation with Indian markets. The Norwegian Pavilion and Lounge at BTS 2025 offered additional exposure, enabling delegates to present their innovations, interact with potential partners, and participate in curated networking sessions with high-value contacts.

Beyond structured sessions, delegates had the opportunity to attend speaker forums, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions covering topics such as emerging technologies, AI adoption, sustainability in tech, and global market trends. These forums encouraged dialogue between Norwegian and Indian companies, highlighting areas for potential collaboration and investment.

Through its well-orchestrated initiatives, the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) created meaningful opportunities for delegates to engage with India’s tech ecosystem, explore collaboration avenues, and foster innovation-driven partnerships. The program concluded with delegates gaining a deep understanding of the synergies between the two countries, while identifying concrete opportunities for long-term business growth and technological exchange.

The 2025 NICCI Business Delegation in Bengaluru underscored the value of international collaboration, innovation exchange, and sustainable business practices, further strengthening Norway and India’s partnership in the global technology ecosystem.
