Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 Spotlights India–Norway Collaboration

The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, organised by the Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, Government of Karnataka, concluded at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), marking one of its most impactful editions to date. Held under the theme “Futurise”, this year’s summit brought together global innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and tech leaders to explore the next decade of technological advancement.

This year’s summit gained added significance with Norway announced as the Official Focus Country for 2026, setting the stage for heightened collaboration between India and the Nordic region.

BTS 2025 featured an impressive lineup of Indian and international voices across AI, biotechnology, semiconductors, space tech, frontier technologies, sustainability, and digital ecosystems. The sessions offered deep insights into emerging trends, disruptive innovations, and strategies to strengthen India’s position as a global technology hub.

Amid these developments, the Summit kicked off with exceptional energy in the India–Norway corridor. With Norway taking centre-stage as the 2026 Focus Country, conversations around innovation, collaboration, and future-ready digital ecosystems gained strong traction. Delegates explored opportunities for cross-border partnerships, investment, and knowledge exchange. Interactive panel discussions and workshops highlighted best practices in scaling startups and implementing cutting-edge technologies. The Summit also provided a platform for showcasing success stories from deep-tech and AI-driven enterprises, inspiring attendees to envision the next decade of innovation.

Kilowott marked a strong presence at the Summit, represented by Judah Fernandez and Sheraline Menezes, who engaged with key stakeholders across industry and government. The team explored opportunities through the Norway Country Session, the Norwegian Pavilion/Lounge, and curated networking facilitated by the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI). The launch of the NICCI & Ideas to Impacts go-to-market program for Norwegian startups further strengthened the momentum for India-Norway tech collaboration.

Alongside Kilowott, key attendees included Trond Skundberg, CEO of Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Helge Tryti, Chairman of Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Monica Skjellen-Larsen, Partner & Advisor at Gjøvikregionen Utvikling / NTNU; Rajvinder Singh Bains, Partner at DLA Piper; Christian Hedløv Engh, Partner & Advisor at InnovasjonsArkitektene AS; and Ane Magnussen, Operations Manager at ABB Energy Industries. Their presence highlighted the significance of collaboration across industry, government, and academia in driving innovation and strengthening India-Norway technology partnerships.

With Norway set to be the Official Focus Country for BTS 2026, the summit served as a strategic platform for Kilowott to engage with government leaders, business stakeholders, and innovation partners from both nations.
