Kilowott and NICCI Join India-Norway Business Event 2025 in Stavanger Norway

Kilowott, together with the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), participated in a key business event in Stavanger, Norway, organized by the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Embassy of India. The event served as a timely platform to explore new trade and investment opportunities following the signing of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

The event opened with a welcome address by Kari Holmefjord Vervik, Managing Director of Innovation Norway Rogaland, who highlighted the importance of Norway–India relations in a global trade context. This was followed by a presentation from Ambassador Acquino Vimal of the Embassy of India in Oslo, outlining India’s economic progress and the role of TEPA in creating favorable conditions for Norwegian businesses looking to enter or expand in the Indian market.

Representing Innovation Norway India, Cristian Valdes Carter spoke about the wide range of business and investment opportunities in India, particularly in energy, infrastructure, and technology. Caspar Fabini, Special Advisor at Innovation Norway, discussed the technical aspects of trade agreements, including HS codes and how they affect Norwegian exporters.

Kilowott, along with the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), was among the participants at the event. Their involvement reflects growing interest from both Indian and Norwegian companies in forming cross-border partnerships driven by innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable business models.

A key theme throughout the event was the alignment between India’s rapidly growing market needs and Norway’s expertise in sectors such as renewable energy, IT services, advanced manufacturing, and maritime technology. These complementary strengths open the door for stronger, more strategic collaboration.

Adding a cultural dimension to the discussions, Stig-Rune Reese, Managing Partner at A`HEAD, addressed the role of cross-cultural understanding in international business and shared insights on how Norwegian and Indian businesses can work more effectively together.

The event concluded with an open networking session that encouraged further dialogue and idea exchange, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and expanded trade between India and Norway.
